Baby Shower Games
Personalized Baby Outfits
Provide a plain white tee or one-piece outfit for each guest. Have enough fabric paints/pens for the guests to share. Spend 15-30 minutes letting the guests decorate a custom tee for the new baby! Other options would be to include iron on patches/decals, glitter, and easy to sew on pieces like bows or buttons. Make sure that the guests sign their custom tees so that you can be reminded of them each time your baby wears their item. If you feel that your guests need help with their creativity, you could provide a slogan jar that has ideas they can pick from and expand on. Example: I Might Barf! , Wake for Chocolate, Babysitters Beware…etc.
Identify Guests
Have each shower guest provide a personal baby/infant picture (before the shower, if possible). Attach all of the photographs on a poster and write a number below each one. Pass out pencil and paper and have guests identify each other as a baby/infant. Whoever guesses the most photographs accurately wins.
Memory Clothesline
Have each guest bring an inexpensive baby item (unwrapped) to the shower. Hang the items on a clothesline, using clothespins, string or tape, etc. The clothesline should be out of view of guests, in another room or outside. Bring the guests to the clothesline and let them study it for three minutes. When the time is up, ask them to leave the area. Have the guests write down all of the items that were hanging on the clothesline. Whoever’s memory serves them best wins.
Other suggestions: The items for the clothesline can be provided by the shower host, instead of guests. The clothesline can be covered with a sheet instead of being in another room if space is limited.
Item suggestions: pacifier, wash cloth, powder, baby oil, nail clippers, rattle, barrettes, diaper coupons, jar of baby food, baby bottle.
How Big is Momma?
Have each shower guest write down the circumference of the mother’s belly. Use a measuring tape to measure around the largest part of momma’s belly. The closest guess wins.
